As I sit at home on a “snow” day, I’m being reminded of what the Lord has been teaching me lately. Being teachable is the way to living out the godly life God has called us to live. Most of the time for me not being teachable is a hard heart or being on my own agenda, in the driver’s seat of a plane that I have no clue how to drive but so determined to press any button to get it in the air.

I’ve been in a tough situation lately that has brought me to my knees seeking the Lord’s patience and vision. One thing I have learned is that needing validation from others is not trusting the Lord fully. Sometimes we are called to suffer silently trusting him completely that he will provide what is needed. So today I am challenging myself and you to be teachable, to seek Him first before picking up that phone or submitting that status seeking others approval or validation.
Psalm 118:8
8It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
